Educational Qualification :
- Soldier (General Duty) - 10th Pass with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in each subject
- Soldier (Clerk) - 10+2 Intermediate Exam Pass in any stream with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject
- Tradesmen (Except House/Mess Keeper) - 10th Pass with 33% in each subject
- Soldier (House Keeper & Mess Keeper) - 8th Pass with 33% in each subject
Age Limit: As per the Territorial Army Group Headquarters, Eastern Command recruitment notification, the candidate’s minimum age 18 and maximum age should be 42 years.
Age relaxation applicable as per norms.
Territorial Army Physical Standards :
For Male Candidates:
- Height - Minimum 160 Cms (157 Cms for Eastern Himalayan Region domicile)
- Chest - Minimum 77 cms unexpanded with 5 cms expansion
- Weight - Proportionate to Height & Age as per Army medical standards
For Female Candidates:
- Height - Minimum 157 Cms (152 Cms for Eastern Himalayan Region domicile)
- Weight - Proportionate to Height & Age as per Army medical standards
- Physical Fitness Test - Includes 1 Mile Run, Pull Ups (Men), Balance Test
- Medical Examination - Conducted for candidates who qualify physical tests
- Written Examination - Objective type test for qualified candidates
- Trade Test - For Soldier Clerk and Tradesmen posts
- Screening/Aptitude Test - For Home & Hearth units
