Eligibility Criteria of West Bengal Police Recruitment?
As per the West Bengal Police recruitment official notification, the candidate’s must be a resident of West Bengal and Class VIII pass from a recognized school
Must possess a valid Driving License (DL) at least 04 (for) years for Light Motor Vehicles (LMV).
At least 02 (two) years of experience driving in any Govt. Organization/ Quasi Govt Organization/ registered Pvt. Ltd. Co. etc.
Age Limit: As per the West Bengal Police recruitment official notification, the candidate’s minimum age 21 & maximum age should be 40 years.

Candidates can apply for this job through offline.
Application Form: Prescribed format may be downloaded from West Bengal Police Website (https://wbpolice.gov.in). Application must be printed on white A4 size paper.
Documents to be attached: Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Educational qualification certificates & Experience certificate.
One recent passport size photograph (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm), self-attested, to be pasted on the top right of the application.
Application must be submitted personally (not by post) in the DROP BOX during office hours at: MT Section of Directorate of Security, 31/A Belvedere Road, Alipore, Kolkata-700027 (Beside Bhabani Bhawan) by 5 Pm of 27.02.2026.
Envelope must be superscribed as: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF DRIVER (CONTRACTUAL), 2026".
If the number of applicants is much higher, then the authority reserves the right to shortlist the applicants on the basis of educational qualification & Driving Experience.
No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the driving test & interview.
Canvassing in any form and/or bringing any influence will be treated as disqualification.
