Eligibility Criteria of Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment?
Educational Qualification :
Agniveer General Duty (GD) - Class 10th pass with 45% aggregate and 33% in each subject.
Agniveer Technical - 10+2 (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English (50% aggregate, 40% each subject) OR 10th with 2-year ITI course.
Agniveer Clerk / SKT - 10+2 (Any stream) with 60% aggregate and 50% in each subject (English & Maths/Accounts mandatory).
Agniveer Tradesman - Class 8th or 10th simple pass (minimum 33% in each subject).
Age Limit: As per the Indian Army recruitment official notification, the candidate’s minimum age 17.5 and maximum age should be 21 years.
Note - Candidates must be born between 01 Oct 2005 and 01 Apr 2009
Selection Process of Indian Army Agniveer Recruitment
Online CEE, Recruitment Rally, Medical, Merit List
Phase-I: Online Common Entrance Examination (CEE)
Objective Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) based computer test.
General Scoring: Candidates are awarded full marks for correct answers and nil marks for unattempted questions.
Post-Specific Requirements:
Agniveer Clerk / Store Keeper Technical: Candidates must additionally pass an Online Typing Test during the CEE. A speed of 30 words per minute (wpm) in English is desirable. Only those who qualify for the typing test are eligible for Phase-II.
Other Posts: Selection for Phase-II is based on the merit list prepared from the CEE scores.
Phase-II: Recruitment Rally
Shortlisted candidates from Phase-I are called for the recruitment rally, which involves the following tests:
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
This test carries different weightage depending on the post:
- Agniveer General Duty (GD) and Tradesmen: Marks are awarded for the 1.6 Km run and Pull-Ups (Beam), which contribute to the final merit.
- 1.6 Km Run: Up to 60 marks based on time (Group-I to Group-IV).
- Pull-Ups: Up to 40 marks based on the number of successful repetitions.
- Qualifying Tests: 9-foot ditch jump and Zig-Zag Balance (must be qualified, no marks awarded).
- Agniveer Technical and Clerk / Store Keeper Technical: These candidates only need to qualify in all physical tests; no marks from the PFT are added to their final merit.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT) - Candidates are measured for height, weight, and chest according to the standards set for their specific category and region.
Medical Examination - Candidates who clear the PFT and PMT undergo a medical exam by the Army Medical Team. Those found “Medically Unfit” for certain criteria (like weight) may be given up to 21 days for a review at a military hospital.
Final Selection & Merit List
The final merit list is prepared based on the CEE marks plus any applicable Bonus Marks (for NCC, Sports, or ITI/Diploma certificates).
Agniveer Technical: Can receive up to 50 bonus marks for ITI/Diploma qualifications.
Other Categories: Maximum bonus marks are generally capped at 25 (e.g., for NCC ‘C’ certificate + RD Parade).

Candidates belonging to following regions will be given 4 cms height relaxation:
