Educational Qualification
- JE (Civil) - Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- JE (Electrical) - Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- JE (Mechanical) - Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- JE (Telecom) - B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Computer Science, Telecom, IT, or Instrumentation.
- Scientific Assistant (IMD) - B.Sc. with Physics or B.E./B.Tech in relevant fields.
Age Limit
As per the Staff Selection Commission recruitment official notification, the candidate’s minimum age 18 and maximum age should be 32 years. (The post wise age limit varies)
Age Relaxation Applicable As Per Government Rules:
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 05 Years+
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 05 Years+
- Other Backward Classes(OBC): 03 Years+
Selection Process
- CBT Paper-I (Computer Based Examination): Qualifying in nature. General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions/50 marks), General Awareness (50 questions/50 marks), and the relevant engineering/technical subject based on the post applied for (100 questions/100 marks). Total duration is 2 hours (2 hours 40 minutes for candidates eligible for a scribe). Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- CBT Paper-II: For candidates shortlisted from Paper-I. Covers the relevant engineering/technical subject in depth (100 questions/300 marks) in 2 hours (2 hours 40 minutes for scribe-eligible candidates). Negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
- Document Verification: Final eligibility and certificate checking.
- Physical Standards and Medical Examination: Applicable specifically for posts under organizations such as Border Roads Organisation (BRO)/GREF.
- Mathematical Abilities: Percentage, Profit & Loss, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Time & Work, Ratio & Proportion, Simplification, Data Interpretation, Average, and Number System.
- Reasoning & General Intelligence: Coding-Decoding, Analogy, Classification, Blood Relation, Series, Syllogism, Matrix, and Venn Diagram.
- General Awareness: Current Affairs, History, Geography, Economy, Polity, General Science, and Static GK.
- English Language & Comprehension: Grammar, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Error Detection, Reading Comprehension, Sentence Improvement, and Cloze Test.
- Computer Knowledge Test: Computer Basics, MS Office, Internet, Networking, Hardware, Software, and Cyber Security.
